AUSSIE 7S MEN CLAIM THE WORLD SERIES TITLE

Aussie 7s Men make history by claiming the World Series title for the first time ever.

The Aussies needed to finish at least 3rd in the final leg of the World Series in Los Angeles to claim title and after going down to Fiji in the semi final, they managed to run past Samoa in the bronze medal match.

A program that has come a very long way from just 12 months ago being stripped down to 6 fully contracted players forcing coach John Manenti to pull players out of club rugby to fill the squad list at each tournament.

Former Aussie 7s player Aidan Toua says on The PAC Show that it's, "Just a brilliant result for just a really good group of men..."

Toua goes on to highlight, "The standard of club footy... The good players exist there, they just need the right opportunity..."

Following the Aussie 7s Women also clinching the World Series and the Commonwealth Games gold medal, it's a great achievement for the entire program leading into the Rugby World Cup Sevens in South Africa next month.
